DwNav - Server Install

 

DwNav requires programs to be installed on the DataStage server in order to retrieve specific data like:

Server Programs:

1. DWN.COMPILE - to compile jobs on the server.

2. DWN_COPY_PARAM.UVB - to copy parameters from one job to another

3. DWN_RT_ROW_COUNT.uvb - to extract row counts and write them to hash files.

4. DwnFixDicts.uvb - to build hash files for row counts.

5. DwnFixVoc.uvb - part of the install process.

6. HshDwnDSJobs.UVB - to extract job sequences to hash files.

Please connect to DataStage by double clicking on "DataStage Designer" under the job drill down on the bottom of this picture.

The server install should be run after you updated the connection record. This is documented in connecting to DataStage in this manual.

After you install DwNav programs on the DataStage server then you can download, compile jobs or copy parameters. If you download under a job then only that job's history is downloaded.

These records are stored in DwNav.mdb.
